The available PDF tools process selected files in your browser. Read our Privacy Policy for information about files, hosting, and future site features.
Selected PDF contents are read by your browser to perform the requested operation. The tools are designed not to send file contents to a Paperdesk upload server. You control the original files and choose whether to download the result.
Practical PDF help
What each Paperdesk tool does, how to use it, and what to check before you rely on the result.
Select Merge PDFs, add two or more files, and arrange them in the order you want before running the tool. Paperdesk combines their pages into one new PDF. Keep your originals until you have opened and checked the merged copy.
Select Split / extract, choose one PDF, and enter page numbers or ranges separated by commas—for example, 1-3, 5, 8-10. Page numbers start at 1. The tool creates a new PDF containing those pages in their original order.
Select Rotate pages, choose a PDF, and choose a clockwise turn of 90, 180, or 270 degrees. Leave the page field blank to rotate every page, or enter page numbers and ranges to rotate only selected pages.
PDFs can contain important forms, records, and signatures. Paperdesk downloads a separate result and does not replace your source file. Open the output and check page order, orientation, and legibility before sharing or deleting anything.
The available tools handle standard, readable PDFs in the browser. Password-protected, damaged, unusually large, or complex PDFs may fail or use substantial memory. This version does not compress files, convert PDFs to Word or images, add page numbers, or add watermarks.
The selected PDF is read by your browser for the operation, and the resulting PDF is downloaded to your device. The tools are designed not to upload file contents to a Paperdesk processing server. The PDF library and typefaces load from public CDNs, so an internet connection is needed.
Questions, answered
Are my PDFs uploaded?
The available merge, split, and rotate tools process PDF contents in your browser and are designed not to send them to a Paperdesk file-processing server.
Can I use Paperdesk on my phone?
The page adapts to smaller screens. For large PDFs, a computer or tablet may be more comfortable and may have more available memory.
Why is compression marked as planned?
PDF compression can trade image quality for smaller files, and browser libraries vary in what they can safely reduce. We’ll add it after choosing an approach that explains the quality tradeoff clearly.
